Floodwater from Ayeyarwady river forced another 13 schools in 13 villages along the riverbank to temporarily close starting from today in Salin Township, Minbu district, Magway region, according to the township Education Officer Office.

Among the 13 schools being closed are eight primary schools and one high school.

After the retreat of the floodwater, the students will receive supplementary learning hours when the schools reopen, according to the said office.—Township IPRD
