Deputy Minister for Agricultural, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw met with departmental officials and farmers at the Sai Nai Agricultural Centre in Watlat Town, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region on 26 July, 2019.

In his remarks at the meeting, Deputy Minister U Hla Kyaw said that in order to promote the development of the agricultural sector, it was needed to be harmonious with technology, investment and human resource that could enhance the interests of the country and the farmers.

Then head of the regional Department of Agriculture U Win Hlaing Oo explained about the conditions of conducting the development of Agricultural Income Sector project in the Sagaing Region, production of high quality seed saplings and purity of seed production in the region, educational model farm and agricultural expansion for local growers, seed storage and seed cleaning machines.

Next, regional hlutaw representative U Maung Maung Win said measures of agricultural development and requirements. The deputy minister made the additional remarks upon the presentation. Director-General of the Agricultural Department Dr. Ye Tint Tun and officials coordinated the proposals made by the growers at the meeting.

Following this, the deputy minister and party met with the government employees at the farmer education centre, where they discussed matters concerning the comprehension of the work process for the farmers, enjoying the benefits of the seed productions from start to finish aiming to enjoy the benefits, striving for rendering assistances for the regional development and other requirements.—MNA
