An inauguration ceremony of a new concrete road was held at the pandal near the road in Ward-5, Dagon Myothit Township in Yangon Region yesterday morning.

The road was formally opened by the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Aye Naing, Regional Lawmaker U Thein Naing, Township Administrator U Hla Myint, Chairman of the township development committee U Min Min Latt and concerned officials by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. The newly-opened road is 2550 ft. long, 18 ft. wide and seven inch thick and was built with the fund in the fiscal year 2018-2019.

Following the inauguration of the road, those present took part in a collective tree-planting ceremony.—Thet Min Han
