Commander in Chief of Defence Services arrived at the Ministry of Defence in New Delhi, India, on 29 July morning.
They were welcomed by Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa at the South Block Lawn of the ministry with a Guard of Honour.
After taking the salute, the Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff held talks in the meeting hall of the South Block.
The Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation and pledged his support in fostering the capacity building of the Myanmar Tatmadaw.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing also congratulated India for the successful launch of Chandrayaan- 2 to the moon, saying the mission has proved India’s advanced space technology and the high capacity of its air force.
He also expressed thanks for the support of the India army in capacity building of the Myanmar Tatmadaw.
An official of the India army presented India’s security outlook and perspectives and gave a briefing about the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School.
In the morning, the Senior General and party visited the National War Memorial at India Gate and laid wreaths before looking around the building.
On 28 July, the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation visited the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Air Force Station (Agra).
In that evening, they arrived at the Myanmar embassy in New Delhi to meet families of the embassy, the military attaché’s office and trainee officers.
The Senior General also presented gifts and cash awards to the families of embassy and the military attaché’s office before having dinner together with them, according to the Office of the Commander in Chief of Defence Services.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
