Pantanaw, August 3

Bank erosion triggered by the swollen Ayeyarwady river forced local people living along the bank to temporarily abandon their homes in Yepaw village, Pantanaw township, Ayeyarwady region yesterday.

A total of 179 people from 31 households left their houses and moved to safer places, their relatives’ homes, it is learnt.— Pyi Phyo Kyaw
