Rakine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu attended inauguration ceremony of upgraded No. 4 Basic Education High School of Taungup Township on 3 August afternoon.
At the school meeting hall, the Chief Minister made a remark on the ceremony, saying the importance of educated people for the development of the country, while the Rakhine State Government is upgrading school buildings and appointing the required teachers.
He also urged for cooperation of teachers, school children and parents for increasing a pass rate of the State.
Then, the State’s Social Affairs Minister and the Education Officer presented undertakings for better exam results, following a member of school committee said an appreciation for upgrading the school.
The school was first established on 2 June 1981 as a primary school, and it was gradually developed into the middle school on 9 October 2013 and the preliminary high school. It was upgraded to the high school on 23 May 2019.
