A ceremony to put a dirt road into use was held at the entrance of the road in Telgone village in Pyi townsip, Bago region yesterday morning with an opening speech by U Kyaw Zeya, MP of the region hluttaw.

 Then, Daw Kyawt Kyawt Khaing, assistant director of Pyi District Rural Development Department explained about the construction works of the road with the use of village development project fund (VDP). Afterwards, MP U Kyaw Zeya and officials cut a ribbon to formally open the road and inspected it. The road measures 3900 feet in length, ten feet In width and six feet in height.

 It was built by the villagers themselves with the technical assistance of the RDD, spending VDP fund of  K 10 million.—Nyein Thu (Salin)
