The security forces discovered a training camp of the AA in Yathedaung Township during a security patrol from 2 to 3 August. The forces captured the camp and seized equipment and other articles used in military training.
Around noon on 2 August, the security forces came upon the training camp, located about 2,000 metres west of Chayyardaw Village, and found six foxholes, one P.T ground, and three huts, along with two sets of uniforms, 33 civilian clothes, 14 waterproof sheets, some shovels, eight swords, and one mobile phone.
The security forces continued their security operations the next day, and discovered 500 wooden training guns hidden by the AA in an area about 1,500 meters west of Chayyardaw Village. They also discovered six detonators, three containers filled with .5 shells, 13 huts, 60 shovels, 40 crowbar-like tools for digging, 50 swords, one mobile phone, food including rice, three bags of medicines, and utensils, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. —MNA (Translated by TTN)
