A military mobile medical team from No.66 Light Infantry Division provided health care services to flood victims at a rescue camp opened at Shwebontha Monastery in Zeegon Township, Bago Region this morning.


A mobile medical team led by Maj. Nay Lin Aung and Cap. Tun Lin Zaw gave medical treatment to those who were in the camp. The occasion was graced by officials from No-66 Light Infantry Division who gave drinking water and relief items to the victims.


Zeegon Township experienced torrential downpours starting from 11 August and water from Minbuchaung entered into the houses in Wards in the township. Therefore, officials from Township Disaster Management Committee evacuated people from flood-affected areas to their relatives’ houses and the monastery.
