Responsible persons from Taninthayi region government met with flood victims in temporary camps and provided them with food supplies in the town of Myeik, Taninthayi region yesterday.
In Myeik township, 17 houses were totally destroyed and another eight houses were partially damaged by natural disasters occurred over the last two weeks, with 1409 people from 267 households taking shelter in six temporary camps. Taninthayi region government had provided the victims with food supplies for a week- two cup of rice, two sachets of noodle, two liters of water, an egg per victim for a day.
