Taikkyi, 15 August

An event to present cash and kind to disaster victims was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Taikkyi, Yangon Region on 13 August.

On the occasion, Regional Lawmaker U Lin Soe Min, an official from the Department of Disaster Management and Township Administrator U Aung Kyaw Soe gave speeches. The disaster affected 144 people from 40 households in Aphyat Town and 81 people from 23 households and 11 monks from two monasteries during the period from 11 July to 13 August.

Officials from the Department of Disaster Management presented Ks. 5,941,500 in total to purchase rice and construction materials during the event.—Tun Tun
