Pauk, 18 August
A ceremony to upgrade a middle school to high school (branch) was held in conjunction with a literary talk at the school in Leloh Village, Pauk Township in Magway Region on 17 August.

The school upgrading ceremony was formally opened by the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Ye Tun Win, Regional MP U Aung Than, Township Education Officer U Myint Htay, an official from the Information and Public Relations Department and the chairman of the village development committee by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. Speeches were given by the township education officer and the lawmakers.

The literary talks followed and popular writers Sayar Maung Thar Cho, U Phone (Chemistry), Min Nyo and Sayama Nu Nu Yi gave talks about Myanmar literature.—Nyan Toe (IPRD)
