Muse 21 August
The situation in Mongyu town (105 mile area) in Muse district, Shan state (North) has returned to normal with people buying and selling in the markets starting from today.
Due to clashes between government forces and some armed groups of Northern Alliance (Myanmar) during August, shop keepers closed their houses.
“I run a grocery store. During last month there were few people on the roads on hearing news about the clashes. I was forced to close my store early in the evenings and the business was not good. Now the situation in the area has become normal again. Most of the shops were reopened and the sales have slightly risen again” said Daw Jar Baw, a resident in the area.
