In commemoration of the International Day of Democracy, an essay writing competition was conducted at B.E.H.S in Mongkhat, Shan State (east) this morning.

Altogether 30 students including 13 high school level students and 17 middle school level students competed in the contest.

Awards ceremony will be held on the International Day of Democracy which falls on 15 September, it is learnt.—Township IPRD
