Fingerling fishes were sowed into the 250 acre paddy fields in Singu village-tract in Dedaye township, Phyabon district, Ayeyarwady region this morning.
U Tin Maung Maung, head of the District Fisheries Department, township administrator U Htet Myet Aung and departmental officials participated in the activity, releasing a total of 125000 fingerlings into the paddy fields.
The event is aimed at preventing different kinds of fish from extinction, providing local people with enough fish supply, said U Thein Han, head of the Township Fishery Department.—Myint Myint Khaing (Dedaye)
