PRESIDENT of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and wife Kim Jung-sook arrived in Myanmar on their friendship tour at 10:40 am yesterday, at the invitation of Myanmar President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho.

 As they landed at the Nay Pyi Taw International Airport, they were greeted by Director-General U Min Thein of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Myanmar Mr Lee Sang-hwa.

 At the lounge of airport, the visiting president and his wife were greeted by Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint and his wife Daw Khaing Nwe Oo, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and his wife Daw Lwin Lwin Hman, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung and his wife Daw Khin Saw Mu, Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea U Thant Sin and his wife, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Myanmar and his wife, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Soe Han and the officials, with the guard of honour.
