More than 550 homes, one monastery and three primary schools in three villages in the western side of the Nattalin Township, Bago Region have been affected by recent severe rains.

Schools in the rain-affected areas were closed temporarily. The Township Administrator U Soe Shwe, policemen, firefighters and volunteers rushed to the flood areas and cooperated with local officials and people to assist them in carrying out rescue works. Well-wishers from some NGOs also donated food to the flood victims.
