With the aim of boosting fish resources, the Department of Fisheries in Sagaing District conducted a ceremony to release fingerlings into Ayeyawady River this morning.

On the occasion, MP Daw Su Myat Htet of Sagaing Regional Hluttaw, Chairman of District Management Committee and officials, Chairman of Township Management Committee, departmental officials, teachers and students were in attendance. 

A total of 100,000 fishes of different kinds were released into Ayeyawady River, according to an official form the Department of Fisheries.
