Hlaingbwe 17 September

The closing ceremony of a bamboo handicraft course, conducted by the Department of Rural Development took place at a monastery in Warguttaw Village, Hlaingbwe Township in Kayin State on 16 September.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director of the DRD U Than Oo said the government is striving for creation of job prospects for rural people to improve their socioeconomic status. An official from the DRD also elaborated on conducting the training course, urging the trainees to try their best to operate traditional business on a commercial scale. 

Next, concerned officials presented completion certificates to trainees and gifts to course instructors. The two-week course was attended by 25 trainees throughout the township.—IPRD
