Myeik, 22 September

Two people have died after a 12-wheeled truck overturned in Papyin Village-tract, Myeik Township in Taninthayi Region on 21 September.

The truck driven by U Than Zaw from Myeik to Palaw together with his coworker U Htoo Thant flipped over at milepost 7/2 near Ahtet Papyin Village. The driver and his colleague were killed on the spot.

Rescuers, firefighters, security personnel, policemen, local authorities and volunteers arrived at the scene of the accident by ambulances to carry out rescue operations.—Khaing Htoo (IPRD)
