With the aim of raising awareness among youths of the scourge of drugs, Public talk titled youth and the danger of narcotic drug, jointly organized by the Township IPRD and Basic Education Department, was held at the hall of Ngwesape in Indaing B.E.H.S in Hlegu Township, northern district, Yangon Region yesterday.

First of all, Daw Aye Aye Mar, Headmistress of Indaing B.E.H.S gave a speech and an official from the township IPRD clarified the purpose of the course.

Then, Pyi Thu Hluttaw representative U Thein Tan and officials from the township police station, law officer and Indaing B.E.H.S detailed the origin of drugs, the disadvantages and danger of narcotic drugs, offences and penalties for drug cases and prevention measures against drugs, and shared knowledge about the scourge of drugs and answered queries raised by those present on the occasion.

Altogether 300 people including headmistress, teachers and students attended the events.—Naing Lin(Hlegu)
