Thangtalang, 1 October

The Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash assistance to farmers affected by the natural disaster from Thangtalang Township, Chin State.

The contributions were made during an event held at the town hall on 30 September. An official from the Department of Agriculture furnished Ks. 510,000 to 40 farmers from three villages for 51 acres of croplands destroyed by the monsoon flood.

Also present on the occasion were Township Administrator U Aung Swe Myint, the lawmakers, departmental staff, local authorities and residents.
