A ceremony to celebrate the International Day of older persons was held at Cherry nursing home in Ward-11, Pyin Oo Lwin this morning.

First of all, the district Administrator U Pa Si delivered an opening speech. This was followed by the presentation of cash assistance and gifts to 16 older persons including five man and 11 women by the region Hluttaw Representatives, departmental officials and donors.

Also present on the occasion were the region Hluttaw Representatives, the district and township Administrators, elderly people and families of donors, it is learnt.
