Arrangements are being made to install CCTVs at Ayeyawady Bridge (Yadanabon) and Innwa Bridge (Sagaing Site) that connects with Mandalay and Sagaing, according to Sagaing District Police Force.

A survey was made by officials from Sagaing District Police Force and responsible people from Apex Company on 29 September.

“It is not sure when the installation of CCTV will be and how many CCTVs will be installed. The arrangements are still being made” said Police Captain Khin Maung Sein from Sagaing District Police Force.

Although it has been noticed by putting warning signboards not to stop vehicles at the bridge, there is still taking photos, playing guitars and drinking at the bridge.

In 2017-2018 FY, over 60 CCTVs have been installed at the Ayeyawady Bridge (Yadanabon) with funds of Union Government. However, there is no CCTV at the Inwa Bridge.
