Officials from Mrauk-U District Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided rice supplies to those who were in IDP camps in Myebon Township, Mrauk-U District, Rakhine State yesterday.
Officials from the Disaster Management Department provided 54 bags of rice and 8 small baskets to 388 people from 102 households in three villages in the township through Chairman of Township Management Committee. In addition, the officials also furnished 139 bags of rice and four small baskets to 229 people from 994 households who were in IDP camps in the township through the responsible people of the camps.
Next, 22 bags of rice and 23 small baskets were also provided to 164 people from 45 households who were also in IDP camps opened in monasteries in the township.
