Myittha, 7 October

One person was killed and four others slightly injured in a head-on collision between a car and a 12-wheeled truck in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region.

The accident occurred at milepost 390/7 on the Yangon-Mandalay Road near Yaywun Village, Myittha Township at about 11:05 p.m. on 5 October. A car with four people on board collided with a 12 wheel truck coming from an opposite direction after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver identified as Than Htut, 32 years old died on the spot and four others were injured in the incident.

The injured people have been sent to a nearby public hospital in Myittha. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.
