Kalaywa, October 9

A younger brother was killed in a fraternal murder in Tone Nan village in Kalaywa Township in Sagaing region yesterday night. 

The incident happened when a man named Maung Aye, 32 tried to persuade his younger brother called Hla Myo Aung, who came back home from gold mine in Khanti township, to abstain from drinking alcohol.

 The persuasion turned to severe quarrel that forced Maung Aye to stab his younger brother with a dagger. Hla Myo Aung died right at the scene. 

The police are investigating into the case, according to police captain Myint Soe of Kalaywa township Police Station.
