A film crew from a Japanese travel video production company, ytv Nextry Co Ltd, filmed lethwei training sessions at Kanyaw Twi gym in Twantay Township a few days ago. The gym is run by gold belt champion Saw Taw Aung.

The film crew also shot scenes of people going about their daily lives from atop Hledan footbridge and other prominent locations in Yangon for episode 18 of their global travel programme. They will next film the crocodile farm in Thaketa and the Drug Elimination Museum.

The documentary will promote international interest in Myanmar and will be broadcast on Japan’s Yomiuri TV.
