Two people were killed and two others were injured after a Hilux car hit a stationary trawlergy in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region.


The accident took place between mileposts 10/1 and 10/2 on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road in front of a car workshop when a Hilux car driven by Khin Zaw Latt, 32 years old with four passengers aboard rear ended a stationary trawlergy belonging to U Kyaw Soe, 44 years old after the driver lost control of the car. Four people—three men and one woman—were hurt in the incident.


Among the injured people, two people were pronounced dead on arrival at a public hospital in Mandalay. The driver of the Hilux car is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.
