Kyonpyaw, 27 October
Four houses have been engulfed by a fire in Einthonse Village, Kyonpyaw Township in Ayeyawady Region.
The fire broke out at a house of a villager named U Moe Win at about 9 a.m. on 26 October. The fire which is believed to have started from ember in the kitchen destroyed three nearby houses. A group of local firefighters led by commander of the township fire brigade took about 45 minutes to completely put out the flame by using two fire engines and one water tanker.
No casualties were reported in the fire but the estimated loss of property due to the blaze is more than Ks. 2.1 million. The house owner is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.
