A fire broke out and destroyed a house in Mudone Village in Chaungzon Tsp, Mon State at about 7:15 pm yesterday.
The fire was believed to have started from overheated wires installed in the house of Daw Tin Mu in ward-7 in Mudone Village, Chaungzon Township.
Firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local Policemen and villagers using six fire engines. The fire was brought under control at about 7:30 pm and totally extinguished at about 7:50 pm.
Properties worth about K 900000 were damaged in the fire. Authorities filed a case against the owner of the house for her negligence.
