Two people were killed and 13 others injured after a passenger bus overturned on the Pale-Gangaw Road in Gangaw Township, Sagaing Region.

The accident occurred between mileposts 67/3 and 76/4 on the Pale-Gangaw Road yesterday when a six-wheeled truck plunged into a 50-ft-deep ravine after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle driven by a man identified as Min Min Zaw from Taungtha Township was heading to a rock mining site in Bonzon Village in Chin State.

The injured people were sent to a public hospital in Kyaw Sub-township. Action has been taken against the driver of the truck by the local police.
