Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung received Chairman of the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr Hideo Watanabe at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed matters related to peace, stability and development in border regions, for human resource development ethnic youths in border areas’, and implementation of the social economic development of the people in the border area.

They also discussed matters related to not only the two nations’ cooperation but also cooperation with the United Nations, NGOs and INGOs in implementing the border area development and human resource development, cooperation between the ministry and the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association on human resources development and conducting Japanese Language courses for creating job opportunities.
