TWO  mishaps  involving  two  buses  cost  13  passengers  their lives on the morning of 5 October between mileposts 6/1 and 6/2 on the Mandalay-Bhamo Road near Kyaukgyi Village in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region.

Three passenger buses left from Shwebo Township for Kachin State on Tuesday morning. One of the buses overturned  on  a  slip  road,  blocking  the  road.  While  at-tempting to avoid hitting the overturned bus, the driver of the bus traveling immediately behind it collided with a tree.

Thirteen passengers, including 2 monks, a man, and 10  women  died  on  the  spot,  while  15  passengers  were  admitted at the Kyaukgyi Hospital with injuries.
