The opening ceremony of a school library was held in a basic education high school in Thongwa Township, Yangon Region this morning.


The school library donated by an alumnus was formally opened by Regional Lawmaker U Myo Swe, Township Administrator U Kyaw Myo Naing, Township Education Officer Daw Than Than Myint and Headmaster U Myint Thein. The one-storey facility is 36 ft. long and 25 ft. wide and is equipped with an air-conditioner plus computer sets and a printer and was built at a cost of more than Ks. 70 million.
A wide range of books including non-fiction to children literature are available at the library.
