With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans to implement emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers at the house of village Administrator in Gamonetaung Village in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory this morning. The disbursement of loan is the fourth of its kind.
First of all, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Than Soe Aung delivered an opening speech and staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development U Win Zaw clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and procedures of the emerald green projects to be a bided by the rural people.
Afterwards, an official from DRD handed over K 35.0 million to chairman of village Emerald Green Project committee. Altogether 98 people - 26 people in agriculture business, 44 in livestock breeding business and 28 in trading business received loans of projects.
