With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for the implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to local farmers at Aungmingalar Yeiktha Monastery in Myenikyin Village, Chaung-U Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region this morning.

The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind and an official from the township General Administration Department delivered an opening speech. Then, a staff officer of the township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.

Afterwards, Deputy Administrator of the township GAD U Win Thet Lin handed over K 54.2 million to 196 people in Myenikyin Village. Then, a member of village emerald green project committee spoke words of thanks.

Also present on the occasion were Deputy Administrator U Win Thet Lin, staff officer of the township DRD Daw Khin Soe Win and staff, invited guests and members of village green project committee.—Ei Ei Aung(Chaung-U)
