A ceremony to open new school building was held at the school in the town of Swa, Yedashe Township Bago Region this morning.
First of all, U Win Thein, Chief Minister of Bago Region, Daw Win Win Kyi, deputy Director of the region Education officer’s Office, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Kyi Moe Naing and community leaders cut a ribbon to formally open the new school.
Afterwards, the region CM U Win Thein, the region MP Dr Kyaw Kyaw and the Pyithu Hluttaw Lawmaker U Kyi Moe Naing delivered speeches and deputy Director Daw Win Win Kyi explained matters relating to education.
Then, Chairman of school development committee U Saw Tun spoke words of thanks. Afterwards, the region CM presented awards to students and looked round the new building.
The two-story school measuring 130 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 25 ft. in height was built by spending K 165 million allocated by the regional government.—Tin Soe(Bago)
