A combined squad led annihilated about one acre of poppy field about five miles southwest of Wunkhaing Village in Namhsan Township, Shan State at around 11 a.m. on 11 November.
Similarly, local anti-drug teams destroyed 3 acres of poppy plantations west of Kyuphomee Village, one acre of poppy plantation north of Laekhue Village and three acres of poppy fields near Naunghuu Village in Loilem Township in Shan State on the same day.
The Myanmar Police Force has been stepping up campaigns to destroy poppy cultivation throughout the country in cooperation with people, local authorities and civil society organizations.—MOHA
