With a view to creating job opportunities for rural women and boosting their socio-economic status, an advanced sewing course was opened at the training school in Kawthoung, Thanintharyi Region this morning.

First of all, the district Administrator U Nay Oo delivered an opening speech and Daw Lay Lay San, Headmistress of the training school clarified the purpose of the course.

Altogether 50 people including departmental officials, officials from social organizations, ward Administrators, Headmistress of the training school and course instructors attended the event.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
