A total of 63 Myanmar migrant workers including 51 men, 8 women and two children were sent back from Thailand through the Kawthoung border gate yesterday for not holding proper documentation.
Thai authorities brought the Myanmar migrant workers to Kawthoung via sea route and handed them over to the authorities in Kawthoung.
Also present on the occasion were personnel from Kawthoung District General Administration Department, the Labor Department, the Anti-human Trafficking Police Force and the Disaster Management Department and others.
The returnee workers are sent to their places of origin after being provided with health care.— Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
