Falam, 14 November

Two people have died and one other was injured after a car plummeted into a ravine in Falam Township, Chin State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The accident took place between kilometer posts 37 and 38 on the Falam-Kalay Road near Seimkyan Village in Falam Township at about 1:10 p.m. on 12 November. A car with three people on board was heading to Kalay from Falam and plunged into a 1000 ft. deep canyon after the driver lost control of the car. Two people were pronounced dead on the scene and one other sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The injured man was transported to a nearby public hospital in Falam and an investigation into the accident is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
