A ceremony to donate cash assistance for purchasing construction materials for a damaged monastery was held in Thayargon Village in Letpadan Township, Bago Region this morning.

The monastery has been badly destroyed by the fire recently. At the ceremony, concerned officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement presented Ks. 300,000 to the abbot, a village administrator and a village elder to reconstruct the damaged monastery.—Wint Nandar Htay
