UNION  Election  Commission  Chairman U Hla Thein received Country  Director  of  United  States  Institute  of  Peace  Mr  Jason Tower at the former’s of-fice  in  Nay  Pyi  Taw  yesterday  morning.

During  the  meeting,  they  discussed preparations for suc-cessful holding of 2020 General Election, organizing workshops on  security  affairs  during  elec-tion period, conducting trainings, prevention  of  hate  speech  and  false news on social media and plans to release true news.

The  meeting  was  also  at-tended by the members of UEC and  officials  from  its  office.—MNA(Translated by Aung Khin)
