234 eye patients have been offered free eye care services at Sitagu Ayudana Hospital in Aunglan Township, Magway Region from 21 to 24 November.

An eye specialist team led by Dr. Mya Aung from Sitagu Ayudana Hospital (Sagaing) provided medical checkups and performed eye surgeries for 234 patients throughout the township, according to a source from the information team of the Sitagu Ayudana Hospital. All expenses such as accommodation, food and medicine for the medical team and patients were borne by U Soe Paing+Daw Khin Myat Swe (Paing Company) from Yangon.

Under the aegis of the Sitagu Sayadaw Ashin Nanissara and with the arrangement of Sitagu Shwe Pyi Hein Sayadaw, members of the township management committee, departmental staff, town elders, volunteers from social organizations, donors, and local people took part in the activity.—Thein Lwin (Aunglan)
