Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung looked into Yangon-Toungoo railway section upgrade which is the phase one in developing Yangon-Mandalay rail network upgrading yesterday morning.
The Union Minister and officials inspected the completion of bridge construction between Swa and Konegyi stations before meeting with the railway staff at Toungoo Station.
At the Ottwin Station, the Union Minister discussed the works with the staff members and local companies which are working with the foreign counterparts in the project.
The Union Minister and party then arrived at Phyu Creek Bridge 203 and inspected soil preparations under the bridge. They also looked into soil tests near the milepost 95/5-6.
They also inspected Bridge 83 and 79 between Pyinpongyi and Phayagyi stations, and a railway section near Htonegyi station. — MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
