THE Myanmar women’s national football  team  will  play  their  last  Group A match against the Malay-sian team in the women’s football event of the 30th South East Asian Games today at the Binan Football Stadium in Binan, the Philippines.

Led by head coach U Win Thu Moe, team Myanmar underwent special training on 1 December at the stadium in Binan.

The match between Myanmar and Malaysia will start at 2:30 pm. Myanmar  Standard  Time  today.  The match will be a decisive one for Myanmar’s chances of secur-ing a place in the semifinals. There are only three teams in Group A: Myanmar,  host  Philippines,  and  Malaysia. As Myanmar played to a 0-0 draw against host Philippines in the opening match of Group A on 26 November, Myanmar needs a win today. Meanwhile, the Philippines trounced Malaysia by 5-0. 

Team  Myanmar  need  a  win  and  more  goals  than  the  Phil-ippines  to  land  the  first  place  in  Group A and advance to the sem-ifinals.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
