Myanmar billiards star and current Asian Billiards Champion Nay Thway Oo entered the finals of the English billiard singles at the 30th South East Asian Games by beating Viet Nam’s Tran Leanh Tuan by a decisive 3-0 in the semifinal yesterday at the Manila Hotel Tent, the Philippines.

Nay Thway Oo will meet Singapore’s Peter Gilchrist in the final, which is scheduled to take place at 11:30 am today. Meanwhile, in the men’s 9-ball pool singles, Myanmar billiards star Phone Myint Kyaw will compete against Duong Quoc Hoang of Viet Nam at 8:30 am today. The matches featuring Nay Thway Oo vs Tran Leanh Tuan and Phone Myint Kyaw vs Duong Quoc Hoang will be streamed live on Eleven Broadcasting’s Facebook page, according to a statement from the Myanmar Billiards and Snooker Federation.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
