Mongnai, 9 December
A training course for auxiliary midwives was opened at the meeting room of the Department of Public Health in Mongnai Township, Southern Shan State this morning.
On the occasion, Township Administrator U Soe Htut delivered an opening speech and Dr. Zin Mie Han, Medical Superintendent of the Department of Public Health explained the purpose of the training course. The event was also attended by departmental staff, invited guests and trainees.
A total of 14 trainees throughout the township are being given practical and theoretical training during the six-month training course jointly conducted by the DPH and Marie Stopes Myanmar.—Myo Nyunt Shwe (Mongnai)
