Fire broke out in Thidarhlaing restaurant on Bo Sein Lwin Road in Minpaing Ward, Twante, Yangon Region about 11:12 pm yesterday.

The fire was believed to have started from a cigarette butt left in the bed room of Nay Lin Htike, son of restaurant owner, in the building and burnt out pillows and mattress, and spread to nearby two restaurants.

Firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire with the use of five fire engines, one fire engine from Dala Fire Services Department and a water tanker in cooperation with police members and locals and the blaze was successfully extinguished at around 11:27 pm. 
The fire destroyed three restaurants, causing a loss of K 1.9 million. 

Authorities filed a case against Nay Lin Htike, 36, for his negligence.—Twante Thar
